How can i get my gamecube controller port to work?
i was trying to play pikmin, i know that the first controller port doesn't work, but the game will not recognize a controller in the second. i was wondering how to get the first port to work or make the game think there is a controller in the first one, or make it so that you can only play with a controller in the second.How can i get my gamecube controller port to work?

technically you can't. or at least your not supposed to. there isn't any in game option, you would have to find a program that basically turns your controller into a keyboard and mouse. i had something like this called joy2mouse but that only controlled the mouse. its much easier to play with the keyboard and mouse anyways, so i wouldn't even bother.

If you want to be a controller you have three options in the US.
Joint the military. Self explanitory. Talk to a recruiter, and if you want, when your tour is up, apply to the FAA.
Join off the street (OTS). Apply to the FAA, take the entrance exam and get an academy class date.
Collegiate Training Initiative (CTI). Complete a degree, 2 or 4 year, at one of the 14 schools www.atccti.com for a list, and you'll be directly hired to the FAA.
OTS hires have a much tougher road ahead of them statistically that military or CTI hires, especially if you have no aviation experience, so there is a reason to think about spending some time learning ATC before making the plunge since you only get one shot.
Additionally you've got to be 31 by the tiem you get yoru offer and not have any medical conditions that might hurt your ability to control traffic safely. As a rule of thumb you also cannot be on any meds that would carry a don't operate heavy machinery warning or that alter your phychology aeven if they are commonly prescribed drugs.

What is the difference in a Combat Controller (enlisted) and an Special Tactics Officer?
A CCT's primary job is to support Special Operations in the field? Really? That will be news to them.
Combat Controllers are not ';Spec Ops Support.'; They are in fact, Special Operations themselves and when embedded with another SOF team they will function as a standard member while bringing their specific skills to the table.

Officers organize, train and equip their men .. a STO will be focused on this before anything. So while there is play time .. STOs will still focus on coordination and planning to prepare, train and send their men to war.

I'm going thru the process to become an Air traffic Controller and was wondering what I can expect.?
I've taken the AT-SAT last month and I think the next step will be the interview. What will that be like? Where will it be? After the interview how long does it take for the other stuff to be completed? When everything comes back, is there a long wait to go to Ok for the school? Do they provide housing? Pay? I'm currently at the FAA academy and I had a lot of similar questions because the FAA didn't really tell me anything until I got here. It was almost exactly 6 months to the day from when I took the AT-SAT to when I arrived at the academy. Most of the guys I know here waited about the same amount of time: 5-7 months.
My interview was at the nearest FAA ATC facility. I met with the tower manager. The FAA mainly just wants to put a name to a face and have contact with you. She asked me some of the usual job interview questions, but it wasn't a difficult or stressful interview. Of course, you don't have the interview until you get (and accept) what the FAA calls a ';tentative'; job offer.
After the interview you have to take a psychological exam called the PF-16. It's nothing to study for. I just asks you a bunch of simple life-situation questions and you just answer how you feel about it. (ex.: Do you consider yourself an organized person? A. Yes B. No C. Maybe)
After that, you should have gotten more info from the FAA and will need to complete a bunch of forms, mainly the background check information, fingerprint cards, etc., and have a thourough medical examination by an FAA certified doctor, which includes a drug test.
I completed my medical and all other paper work and next-day mailed it to the FAA on a Monday evening, and on the following Monday I got a phone call from the FAA asking me to come to the academy in 10 days! I told them that was too soon for me, and they were able to give me one more week.
You need to find housing, but there are several places that are not run by the FAA, but are FAA friendly. Go to www.faa.gov then after .gov type: /education_research/faa_academy (yahoo keeps truncating the address). If that doesn't work to go www.faa.gov and search for FAA Academy. Once there, click on ';student services'; on the left, then on ';housing.'; That will give you a list of places that are ';FAA friendly.'; The apartments are your best bet, and some even have cars you can rent for less than $10 a day. You just need prior insurance.
Pay is sufficent if you don't have many other debts. You get per diem of almost $80 a day, 7 days a week, working or not. You will also get your pay that was specified in your offer letter, which is usually around $18,000-20,000 annual for new-hires. I would suggest listening to controllers in any way you can (buy a radio and drive to your local airport or find a live stream on the internet) and repeating out loud what they say. If you can go to an airport with a radio, try watching the planes and making the calls before the controller does and then see if how the controller says it. Keep in mind, however, that not all controllers use the exact phraseology that they teach at the academy and you might have to learn something different at the academy.

I'm currently at the FAA academy and I had a lot of similar questions because the FAA didn't really tell me anything until I got here. It was almost exactly 6 months to the day from when I took the AT-SAT to when I arrived at the academy. Most of the guys I know here waited about the same amount of time: 5-7 months.
My interview was at the nearest FAA ATC facility. I met with the tower manager. The FAA mainly just wants to put a name to a face and have contact with you. She asked me some of the usual job interview questions, but it wasn't a difficult or stressful interview. Of course, you don't have the interview until you get (and accept) what the FAA calls a ';tentative'; job offer.
After the interview you have to take a psychological exam called the PF-16. It's nothing to study for. I just asks you a bunch of simple life-situation questions and you just answer how you feel about it. (ex.: Do you consider yourself an organized person? A. Yes B. No C. Maybe)
After that, you should have gotten more info from the FAA and will need to complete a bunch of forms, mainly the background check information, fingerprint cards, etc., and have a thourough medical examination by an FAA certified doctor, which includes a drug test.
I completed my medical and all other paper work and next-day mailed it to the FAA on a Monday evening, and on the following Monday I got a phone call from the FAA asking me to come to the academy in 10 days! I told them that was too soon for me, and they were able to give me one more week.
You need to find housing, but there are several places that are not run by the FAA, but are FAA friendly. Go to www.faa.gov then after .gov type: /education_research/faa_academy (yahoo keeps truncating the address). If that doesn't work to go www.faa.gov and search for FAA Academy. Once there, click on ';student services'; on the left, then on ';housing.'; That will give you a list of places that are ';FAA friendly.'; The apartments are your best bet, and some even have cars you can rent for less than $10 a day. You just need prior insurance.
Pay is sufficent if you don't have many other debts. You get per diem of almost $80 a day, 7 days a week, working or not. You will also get your pay that was specified in your offer letter, which is usually around $18,000-20,000 annual for new-hires. try syncing the console and controller again, press the small round button on the console by the memory card slot and then press the small button at the top of the controller between the left and right buttons

The remote is not necessary, but will make watching Blu-ray's easier to navigate than the controller.
BTW, the remote turns the PS3 on and off the same way the controller does: with the PS button.

You can Sync 16 wii controllers to your wii... which the wii remembers..
After sync-ing, whenever you want to play.. you just turn on the wii and press any button on the wii-mote.. and the wii-mote gets assigned as player 1,2,3 or 4.
But this is done only when you have sync-ed the thing once.. you can't do it without sync-ing the remote...
If you sync it and still the problem presists, then change the batteries with brand new ones... maybe use the batteries of your other remote.. if that remote is working..

Try another controller, reinstalling the drivers, or just get a wired controller (which is easiest). I'm a controller, and if/when you become one you will be trained in one of two ways: You will train to be what is called an ';enroute'; controller and work at a ';center'; facility or you will train to be a ';terminal'; controller and work in a control tower at an airport.
First, ';terminal'; or tower controllers control aircraft that are at or near an airport. There are several positions in the tower and you usually take shifts on the different positions. No but since you have two they are wireless which means you need to make sure their is batteries in the other instruments then turn on your xbox 360 and also the instruments.

My ps3 controller is not working properly and my console keeps on freezing?
Recently i've been having some problems with my wireless controllers, the don't synchronize with the console to get a slot, alot of times i have to restart the system because it keeps freezing out of no where. The only game i play on it is MW2 and i heard it caused alot of problems to other people with PS3s ... anyone got any ideas?

If you have the 3.10 PS3 firmware version then that's the problem,try updating to firmware version 3.15,it's much better.

I've taken the AT-SAT last month and I think the next step will be the interview. What will that be like? Where will it be? After the interview how long does it take for the other stuff to be completed? When everything comes back, is there a long wait to go to Ok for the school? Do they provide housing? Pay? It was almost exactly 6 months to the day from when I took the AT-SAT to when I arrived at the academy. Most of the guys I know here waited about the same amount of time: 5-7 months.
My interview was at the nearest FAA ATC facility. I met with the tower manager. The FAA mainly just wants to put a name to a face and have contact with you. She asked me some of the usual job interview questions, but it wasn't a difficult or stressful interview. Of course, you don't have the interview until you get (and accept) what the FAA calls a ';tentative'; job offer.
After the interview you have to take a psychological exam called the PF-16. It's nothing to study for. I just asks you a bunch of simple life-situation questions and you just answer how you feel about it. (ex.: Do you consider yourself an organized person? A. Yes B. No C. Maybe)
After that, you should have gotten more info from the FAA and will need to complete a bunch of forms, mainly the background check information, fingerprint cards, etc., and have a thourough medical examination by an FAA certified doctor, which includes a drug test.
I completed my medical and all other paper work and next-day mailed it to the FAA on a Monday evening, and on the following Monday I got a phone call from the FAA asking me to come to the academy in 10 days! I told them that was too soon for me, and they were able to give me one more week.
You need to find housing, but there are several places that are not run by the FAA, but are FAA friendly. Go to www.faa.gov then after .gov type: /education_research/faa_academy (yahoo keeps truncating the address). If that doesn't work to go www.faa.gov and search for FAA Academy. Once there, click on ';student services'; on the left, then on ';housing.'; That will give you a list of places that are ';FAA friendly.'; The apartments are your best bet, and some even have cars you can rent for less than $10 a day. You just need prior insurance.
Pay is sufficent if you don't have many other debts. You get per diem of almost $80 a day, 7 days a week, working or not. You will also get your pay that was specified in your offer letter, which is usually around $18,000-20,000 annual for new-hires. Like other jobs, you usually don't get paid on the first payday you are there and have to wait about 3 weeks for your first paycheck.
As far as the academy goes, the hardest thing isn't the academics, it's just talking to airplanes! We all think we know what to say, but at first it's really difficult to say the right words in the right order and keep it flowing. I would suggest listening to controllers in any way you can (buy a radio and drive to your local airport or find a live stream on the internet) and repeating out loud what they say. If you can go to an airport with a radio, try watching the planes and making the calls before the controller does and then see if how the controller says it. Keep in mind, however, that not all controllers use the exact phraseology that they teach at the academy and you might have to learn something different at the academy.

The interview might be at the facility you've been selected for or at a more local facility with their people. You'll be paid a few cents over 78 dollars a day per diem, they will not provide housing. Trust me, the local OK City economy knows to the cent what you are making and they'll adjust prices to ensure none of it ever leaves the Sooner State.

try syncing the console and controller again, press the small round button on the console by the memory card slot and then press the small button at the top of the controller between the left and right buttons

Does the monitor go blank and the monitor light turn to an amber colour?
Loss of video signal from the Video Card to the monitor. This can be caused by an overheating video card. Make sure all your fans are working and all the ventilation ports are free from dust and other obstructions
Does the monitor go blank and the monitor light stays green but starts to blink?
This is usually due to the resolution setting is set too high for the monitor to handle (Resolution is out of range). Power off your computer. Start it and start pressing F8 to make XP start in Safe Mode. Once in Safe Mode, Change your Display settings resolution to 1024 X 768 or lower. Restart the computer in normal mode. This should fix the problem.

One of your applications is changing your resolution. You will have to watch when this happens and the application you started just before the resolution changed is likely the culprit.
Try using your computer without running that application. If it happens again you will have to keep doing this until you have isolated the culprit.
There is a possibility that you have a virus creating this problem. Make you have a good virus scanner and ad/spy-ware scanning software that are kept up to date and you should be running scans on your computer manually at least once a week.

as long as the batteries are fresh it'll work well but I've tried a few wireless ps2 controllers and the quality was never very good
they only last a few months then break ( usually right after the warranty is up )
eventually I just bought extension cables and sony controllers because in the long run it's cheaper and less hassle

I try connecting it but the red light in the adaptor keeps flashing red and i can't figure our how to connect it from the guitar to the adaptor. I bought it from CEX online but I think they gave a wrong adaptor. Please just tell I should do.
