Is a pci simple communication CONTROLLER part of windows or motherboard set up,i Carnot find anywhere?

What kind of mother board is it?, (the board has ref numbers near processor to identify), by the sounds of it you need to get the chipset driver. Is a pci simple communication CONTROLLER part of windows or motherboard set up,i Carnot find anywhere?
It seems to me the service packs are messing up Intels Managenent Engine Driver. It is a chipset function.

So you have to reinstall it

Error on PCI Simple Communications Controller

If the Intel庐 Management Engine (Intel ME) driver has not been successfully installed, you may see an error on a ';PCI Simple Communications Controller'; in Device Manager.

To resolve this issue, install the Intel庐 Management Engine Interface driver for your desktop board. This driver can be installed from either:

The Express Installer CD that came with your board (in the Software\Driver\Advance_Fan_Speed_Contro鈥?folder)

The latest driver downloaded from Intel's Download Center. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.鈥?/a>

The Express Installer CD that came with your board (in the Software\Driver\Advance_Fan_Speed_Contro鈥?folder)

Also check for PCI devices that the controller deals with like a PCI modem or PCI Network card - the drivers may be missing or corrupt.Reinstall them .Is a pci simple communication CONTROLLER part of windows or motherboard set up,i Carnot find anywhere?
What are you trying to do? Why do you think this information will be useful to you?

The controller itself is part of the motherboard's chipset, most likely the southbridge on a modern motherboard. But that answer won't help you solve whatever problem you're trying to solve. What is that problem?
PCI Simple communications controller is a dialup modem, so if you dont use 56k dialup theres little need to find a driver for it, just disable the device and forget about it.

most are on the motherboard

check with siv utility

would think that mobo has a chip controller north/south bridge e.g and windows has the drivers in the disk win xp/vista or old win 95
