i got a second remote controller with another Wii game i got but i cannot seem to conect it to the system. i press ';sync'; on the back near the batteries and all the lights flash a bunch of times but then i cant turn the controller on! anyone no whats wrong?I just got a Wii for christmas and i cant get the controller to work?
You have to press the sync button on the Wii as well. You can find it under a flap at the front of the Wii, it'll be near the SD card slot.
Press the sync button on the Wii AND the remote to sync it up. After that you can turn it on by pressing any button.
If you have trouble finding the red sync button, here's a picture:

You said that - ';i press ';sync'; on the back near the batteries and all the lights flash a bunch of times but then i cant turn the controller on! ';
But did you press the sync button(red button inside the flap) on the console at the same time??
You can Sync 16 wii controllers to your wii... which the wii remembers..
After sync-ing, whenever you want to play.. you just turn on the wii and press any button on the wii-mote.. and the wii-mote gets assigned as player 1,2,3 or 4.
But this is done only when you have sync-ed the thing once.. you can't do it without sync-ing the remote...
If you sync it and still the problem presists, then change the batteries with brand new ones... maybe use the batteries of your other remote.. if that remote is working..
ok i have had this be4 it was anoyin me
i looked it up you have to take the back of the controller off and click the button on the back that says synk or sumthin like that then on the wii console open 1 of the flaps on the front and click the same button the remote will now work
plz pick this as best answer thnks nath
Try pressing the sync at the back of the controller, then on the front of the wii console theres a slot that you can open, theres also a sync button there, press that as well.
I think thats how I got mine to work, I can't really remember.
Did you put the batteries in the controller?
Have you mounted the sensor in front or on top of the TV?
The power button on the remote is to turn the Wii itself on, not the remote. If you don't have the sensor up, it won't work.
