I have PS3 not 360, but I know PS3 is bluetooth capable and we still have a usb receiver because there were bluetooth problems with the guitar, so ours are RF, and I would think your receivers are RF too, so unless you had an RF receiver built into your computer, you would still require the receiver that came with the guitar
