i just bought the game,and my guitar aint workin, and when i play it tells me that i need a ****** mic that i just dont have, and nowhere to be bought.
please help me. i want this game so bad.

yes it will work.
for the ps2 controller
green is (L2)
red is (L1)
yellow is (R1)
blue is (R2)
orange is (X)
you will not need to strum just press the buttons.
when i have tried it it has worked, when you set up to play select single for how many people playing, not band. that should solve your problem.
